Crossgates Dairy Herd Health

Cows

This is a combination remedy aimed at the milking herd, to assist with their overall health & help reduce problems they are prone to such as mastitis & high cell counts.

To achieve the best results this remedy is made specific to your farm, as of course every farm has different bacteria & viruses present.

The specific testing is done by taking samples of milk & hair from 20% of the herd, as well as a bulk tank sample. In the sampling include cows with high cell counts, mastitis, poor fertility, new calvers, mid lactation, late lactation & dry cows.

The samples are sent back to us for testing on the E.test machine, which runs an energetic test to show up imbalances in the herd. The test runs through 150 categories including bacteria, viruses, parasites, fungi, toxin, respiratory & digestion. A print out & the remedy are then produced.

Cows

Administration of the remedy is simple & straightforward. The remedy is added to all water troughs (including dry cows) daily for the fist week or until cell counts drop if they have been a problem. The following week it is added every other day, then once a week after that.

We also supply you with a higher potency remedy for use on problem cases as they come through the parlour.

Using the remedy on your herd will aid the immune system & therefore general health & wellbeing of the herd as well as any calves born while the cows are receiving the remedy.

Calf Health

Cows

Why not use the Calf Health remedy alongside the Herd Health? This is a combination remedy aimed at the general health of calves. The remedy will help boost the immune systems of the calves against the assaults of daily life. It can be given to calves from day old right through the rearing period. The remedy is added to either milk or water.

Is it really a good idea to feed them milk of an inferior quality or with antibiotics in? Remember your calves are the building blocks of your herd, producing quality healthy calves to enter the milking herd can only result in healthier cattle & therefore healthier calves to complete the cycle.
