The good health of your poultry is the controlling factor along with management of your profits. Crossgates Bioenergetics are dedicated to the energy balancing system we have developed over the past 4 years - namely Bioenergetics.

What is bioenergetics : This is a system of health care that assists the body's in built defence mechanism to heal its self. The immune system is stimulated therefore helping to promote overall good health and growth while combating the stress and discomfort illness can cause to an animal.

When illness is challenging it means the body's energetic systems are unbalanced, by correcting these imbalances with the appropriate remedies the body will start to heal naturally.

Amino Acids come from the proteins in feed. Proteins can vary quite a lot with regard to the digestable and undigestable fractions in feed. Therefore the amino acid type and quality made available in feed are very important.

The most obvious indications of lack of digestable amino acids are lack of thrift, feather pecking, vent pecking and cannibalism.

Redmite and Louse Remedy

Redmite and lice will debilitate a flock of birds faster than anything, resulting in egg production loss of upto 5 percent.

We have been developing this remedy for 3 years. When we make the remedy all types of redmite and lice patterns go into the product along with many other remedies. Drinking the remedy alters the blood chemistry of the bird, so when redmites starts to feed, they veryquickly stop because the blood has altered in it's composition electrically. Over the next 2 to 3 weeks the redmites go grey and dormant. When they don't feed they don't breed.

We have many satisfied clients using this remedy including 2 major breeding units of 50,000 birds each, many battery cage producers and lots of free range units. If you starve the redmite you will feed the profit margin.

We have been rearing Turkeys for the Christmas market for over 60 years. Four years ago we used Avian Health for the first time. During this period thanks to the quick efficient analysis of the feather samples sent to Crossgates, we have eradicated the need for vaccines and antibiotics in the flock.

Anne RobertsOrganic flock of 2,000 Lohman Browns

This is the second flock on which we have used the Feather Care and Aconite mix. The flock settles down very soon after adding the mix to the water. Easy to add and no problems with the water supply make this an excellent product.

We first used the Flock Specific Avian Health Remedy, with good results. We found out that the birds were short of Amino Acids found in fishmeal. Crossgates came up with the remedy to beat all remedies, Feather Care, as soon as the birds were given this our losses were down from 8 to 10 birds a week to 1 or 2 and these birds were not being cannibalised.
